About the Role
This position is located in the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Human Resources Directorate (HRD),Technology, Policy & Program Support Division (TPPSD), Processing Branch, to provide a wide range of consolidated human resources management program functions to various Department of Defense (DoD) agencies and offices located in the National Capital Region (NCR) and for their field activities as specified.
What You'll Do
- →Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Reviewing and processing a wide range of personnel actions for a large customer base.
- →Researching and interpreting guidelines and directives and conducts comprehensive research and applies problem solving skills to complex cases.
- →Applying regulations and policies related to compensation, such as pay and leave, and advising on using compensation flexibilities.
- →Coding and processing all nature of actions to include: Promotions and Demotions: Documenting changes in an employee's job title and/or responsibilities due to promotion or demotion.
- →Processing increases in rank, responsibility, and salary.
- →This may involve reviewing eligibility, updating records, and generating offer letters.
- →Processing reductions in rank or responsibility, potentially with corresponding salary adjustments.
- →This often involves careful documentation and communication.
- →Providing the full range of HR advisory services and technical services to include the execution and implementation of HR processing within the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS), the rule range of electronic Official Personnel File ( eOPF) maintenance and consolidation, civilian payroll reconciliation and mass DCPDS processing for assigned agencies, activities, and components.
Requirements
- ✓GS-9 Substitution of Education for Experience: Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, Master's or equivalent graduate degree, may be substituted to meet the qualifying experience requirement.
- ✓If you are using education to substitute for the qualifying experience, you must submit transcripts at the time you apply.
- ✓GS-11 Substitution of Education for Experience: Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree may be substituted to meet the qualifying experience requirement.
- ✓If you are using education to substitute for the qualifying experience, you must submit transcripts at the time you apply.
- ✓There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GS-12 grade level.
