About the Role
This position is located in the Human Resources Employment Solutions Section, Human Resources Branch, Division of Administration. The purpose of this position is to serve as a senior specialist providing a variety of human resources management (HRM) services to assigned organizations. Incumbent plans, administers, implements, evaluates and provides technical advice on NLRB pay administration, staffing and recruitment programs.
What You'll Do
- →As a, Human Resources Specialist (Staffing Specialist), GS- 0201-12, your typical work assignments may include: Performing a variety of personnel management services which vary from routine to the more complex and difficult aspects of the personnel management field which involves the identification, analysis and solution of personnel problems.
- →Providing advice to management in such areas as recruitment, examination, selection and placement of employees; reduction-in-force and voluntary separation incentives; qualification disputes; merit promotion; crediting plans processes and procedures; special emphasis/placement programs; priority placement; and controversial staffing issues related to outsourcing activities.
- →Analyzing, interpreting, and implementing laws, regulations, policies, and/or guidance involving pay administration issues and advises management on the use of compensation flexibility to help recruit, manage, and retain employees.
- →Drafting policy and implementing regulations; conducting necessary training; preparing reports to Agency officials and OPM; and evaluating results and making arrangements for needed improvements.
- →Researching statutory, regulatory, court and/or administrative precedents, Comptroller General decisions and other legal opinions or documentary material.
