About the Role
This position is part of the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer - Power Marketing Administration HR Shared Service Center. This developmental position serves as a Human Resources Specialist (Recruitment & Placement) and represents the PMA HR SSC as an advisor and service provider.
What You'll Do
- →As an Human Resources Specialist (Recruitment & Placement), you will: Perform duties in federal recruitment, placement, and HR information systems (HRIS), applying established principles and regulations to support a variety of staffing and data management functions.
- →Initiate pre-employment (i.e., Drug Test, Physicals, suitability review) for new employees; ensures the selectee has completed all requirements prior to setting an Entrance on Duty (EOD) date.
- →Maintains proficiency in various HRIS by processing a full range of personnel actions for employment, changes, and separations covering permanent and temporary employment, i.e., promotion, details, etc.
- →Counsels, advises, and provides assistance to management and employees on human resource administration as is relates to staffing and placement functions.
- →Participate in identification, design, development, and implementation of more efficient ways to deliver recruitment and staffing products and services to assigned organization managers and staff through automated information systems.
