You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) in the SECRETARY OF THE NAVY COUNCIL OF REVIEW BOARDS (SECNAVCORB).
What You'll Do
- →You will be responsible for writing comprehensive summaries incorporating pertinent facts, legal interpretations, equitable aspects involved, and any previous legal citations, precedents, and any applicable DON and Marine Corps policies.
- →You will negotiate with attorneys and/or applicants in matters pertaining to the applicant's issues and the nature and quality of relief requested.
- →You will present to a Board of senior military and Federal civilians in the DON where such action is necessary or appropriate to correct an error or to remove an injustice in personnel records.
- →You will review, analyze, and determine the adequacy of supporting materials for discharge reviews, fitness for continued service, or related Board actions for active, reserve, retired, or discharged Navy and Marine Corps personnel.
- →You will attend and participate in oral hearings and executive sessions in an advisory capacity, presenting to an executive Board a summary of facts in each case based on a comprehensive analysis of the application and supporting materials.
