What You'll Do
- →Introduction: This position is located in the Office of Human Capital, Strategies and Services, Human Capital's Assessment Unit, Workforce Planning Section.
- →The work of the Section serves as the foundation for managing DHS/ICE's Human Capital.
- →The section enables DHS/ICE to strategically meet current and future workforce needs and prevents unnecessary disruptions in maintaining a steady-state workforce.
- →The Specialist further assists the organization by ensuring that the workforce meets future organizational goals and objectives by strategically leveraging its Human Capital.
- →As a Human Resources Specialist (Workforce Planning), at the full performance level, you will perform the following duties: Ensures alignment of the work to the strategic mission, identifies mission critical occupations and critical competencies; conducts supply analysis of current human resources including anticipated separations and retirements.
- →Gathers, analyzes, and interprets human capital data and trends to support workforce and agency objectives.
- →Provides data, develops guidance and recommendations, and advises senior leaders within and outside the agency to ensure a mission-ready workforce.
- →Reviews and analyzes higher echelon policy and regulations related to resource management, with particular emphasis on human capital management policy and the DHS mandated workforce planning methodology.
- →These are non-bargaining unit position.
