About the Role
About the Position: This position is located in the office of the Chief, Human Capital Division and is located in Falls Church, VA. This position requires a high degree of expertise, initiative, and ability to influence senior leadership on critical human capital matters. This is not a virtual/remote position. You must live within or be willing to relocate within a commutable distance of the identified duty location (Falls Church, Virginia).
What You'll Do
- →Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to gain buy-in and ensure alignment of HR strategies with overall organizational goals.
- →Translate complex HR data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
- →Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in HR operations.
- →Analyze organizational needs to identify critical human capital challenges.
- →Perform supervisory duties to include advising/counseling employees, performance management, hearing/resolving grievances/complaints, effecting disciplinary measures, etc.
- →Provide authoritative advice and consultation to senior management, supervisors, and employees on a wide range of complex HR issues.
- →Interpret and apply federal laws, regulations, policies, and procedures related to areas such as staffing, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and performance management.
- →Analyze intricate and often sensitive situations, providing strategic guidance and developing effective solutions that mitigate risk.
- →Lead the development and implementation of long-range strategic HR plans and programs aligned with the agency's mission.
- →Formulate innovative solutions in areas such as talent acquisition, workforce development, performance management, and employee relations.
- →Conduct comprehensive research and benchmarking studies to identify best practices and emerging trends in human resources management.
