About the Role
You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATION) NCIS. All Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) positions are in the excepted service. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. This job opportunity announcement has a first cut-off 50 applicants. What You'll Do
- →You will provide formal and informal advice to managers and supervisors regarding succession planning, reorganizations, realignments, reviews, as well as the establishment of new positions.
- →You will advise on issues such as organization and position structure alternatives and the impact of duty shifts from job to job and across organizational lines.
- →You will prepare interpretive guidance and promotes acceptance of guidance and NCIS position classification and personnel policies and goals.
- →You will prepare official correspondence pertaining to position management and classification policies and other interpretative considerations for approval by higher authorities.
- →You will interpret and analyze OPM, DoD, DON, Office of Civilian Human Resources (OCHR), and NCIS personnel management guidance, particularly classification guidance, to ensure NCIS management is in compliance.
