About the Role

- →This announcement provides the opportunity for a reassignment/promotion to Human Resources (HR) Analyst position with the Mission Support, Human Resources, Staffing and Classification team.

- →The successful candidate will be responsible for independently performing assignments and application of fundamental principles, concepts, techniques, and guidelines in the areas of recruitment, hiring, classification, and position descriptions.
- →Candidates will be evaluated on the skills that they possess that are directly related to the duties of the position and the experience, education and training that indicate the applicant's ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position.
- →Only those candidates who meet all qualification and eligibility requirements and who submit the required information by 11:59 PM EST on 07/15/2026 will be considered.
- →The USPS OIG uses a Pay Banding system, which is equivalent to the Federal GS scale.
- →Grade and salary determinations will be made based upon a candidate's education and professional experience.
- →This position is being advertised at the Journey Band level, equivalent to a GS-11 - GS-13.
- →The salary range for this position is $85,447.00 - $158,322.00 and these figures include locality pay.
- →Promotion potential to a GS-13 is at management's discretion.

- →Provide a full range of HR services and technical guidance to employees and management officials related to staffing programs and position classification standards through the interpretation of federal laws, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOP).
- →Collaborate with hiring managers to review position descriptions, develop assessment questionnaires, prepare and create job announcements, administer rating and ranking processes for various types of hiring actions, determine eligibility and qualifications, adjudicate veterans' preference, establish pay using regulatory requirements, and document recruitment actions.
