About the Role
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Human Capital (OHC), Division of Performance and Organizational Programs (DPOP). As a Human Resources Specialist, GS-0201-13, you will perform complex and significant program and operation work related to the Senior Executive Services (SES), Senior Level (SL) positions, Schedule C and non-career SES political appointment positions, and related activities.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as an advisor to managers on all issues related to Executive Resources and provides expert management advisory and consultative services to senior officials CMS-wide.
- →Develops position descriptions and classifies positions, conducts recruitment, including merit staffing, and evaluates applicants' qualifications.
- →Provides staff guidance and advice to programs and offices regarding recruitment and placement, position classification, and performance management requirements of executive personnel.
- →Monitors the entire recruitment process including panel operations to assure quality staffing of Senior Executive Service (SES) positions.
