About the Role
Join the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Shared Service Center! We're looking for talented professionals to help deliver solutions that support federal agencies nationwide. As an HR Specialist (Classification) at the GS-0201-11/12 you will provide position management and classification services, conduct desk audits, prepare classification recommendations, support reimbursable HR projects, and deliver technical guidance and training to federal agency customers.
What You'll Do
- →Applies position classification standards to determine title, series, grade, and related position data for federal positions.
- →Conducts desk audits and fact-finding interviews with incumbents, supervisors, and other officials.
- →Prepares position descriptions, evaluation statements, project reports, advisories, and classification recommendations.
- →Reviews position management and classification policies, guidance, and business practices and recommends improvements.
- →Supports reimbursable HR projects by tracking milestones, deliverables, costs, and project requirements.
- →Participates on cross-functional HR teams involving classification, workforce planning, organization design, and related services.
- →Develops and delivers classification and position management training, workshops, presentations, and focus group materials.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓This position is eligible for inclusion in the bargaining unit. if the duty station is finalized in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, employees in this position will be represented by the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) Local 32.
- ✓(BU Code - 2286) if the duty station is finalized outside of the Washington, DC metropolitan area, this position will not be represented by a bargaining unit.
