About the Position: As chief of the section and Brigade S-1 Officer (Adjutant), monitors, coordinates, and directs the effective and efficient administration of the full spectrum of human resources areas to ensure compliance with established policies, directives, and operating procedures.
What You'll Do
- →Coordinates and supervises the conduct of appropriate orientation briefing during in and out-processing.
- →Reviews in and outgoing correspondence for adequacy of subject matter, distribution and proper format.
- →Reviews all changes to regulations that affects the S-1 Section and recommends necessary changes to local policies and/or procedures to ensure compliance.
- →Oversees military and civilian personnel management and legal operations, processing of records and actions, and data entry in Human Resources system.
- →Manages the initiation and processing of personnel actions, including suspension of favorable and unfavorable personnel actions, discharge activities, retirements, applications for military identification cards, etc.
- →Ensures the operation and operability of a variety of automated systems supporting the assigned military personnel functions, including IPPSA, ATRRS, EDAS, TOPMIS, ACIPS, DEERS/ RAPIDS, and PERNET used to meet mission objectives.
- →Compiles and analyzes data to identify trends, deficiencies, and accomplishments.
- →Evaluates work performance, provides NCOERs, gives instructions to military personnel regarding their level of performance and needed improvement; performs required counseling.
