Inspects assigned work area to evaluate cleaning needs: determine what must be done, what routine equipment and supplies are needed and whether unusual or special equipment or supplies are needed. Work is performed in accordance with established housekeeping and aseptic techniques.
What You'll Do
- →Train other housekeeping aids on proper use of equipment and chemicals.
- →Maintains current knowledge and answers questions of other workers on procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives.
- →Assures the safety and housekeeping rules are followed.
- →The majority of the housekeeping assignments involve working in the immediate vicinity of patients, visitors, and other staff.
- →Incumbent must be diplomatic and courteous and exhibit good interpersonal skills (cheerful, congenial, caring) toward all customers and peers.
- →Must be knowledgeable and skillful in performing full range of deep cleaning duties and special cleaning tasks in accordance with established housekeeping and aseptic techniques.
- →Must able to follow written and oral instructions, and use full range of cleaning equipment and supplies.
- →Must be knowledgeable and skillful in performing full range of deep cleaning duties and special cleaning tasks in accordance with established housekeeping and aseptic techniques.
- →Incumbent inspects assigned work area to evaluate cleaning needs: determine what must be done, what routine equipment and supplies are needed and whether unusual or special equipment or supplies are needed.
- →Incumbent is required to wear isolation clothing when working in a contaminated area.
- →Incumbent is exposed to odors and skin irritations from strong cleaning solutions and falls from ladders or slippery surfaces.
