About the Position: This position serves as a Health Technician (Surgical) at Womack Army Medical Center, Directorate of Surgery, Department of Surgery. The primary functions is performing scrub and circulating duties across a range of specialties and complexities, providing critical support in routine to trauma cases. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Transport patients from hospital units to the operating room.
- →Screen patients for completeness of preoperative documentation.
- →Position the patient for the specific surgical procedure.
- →Assembling surgical instruments and equipment based on the procedure and the surgeon’s preference.
- →Monitor safe handling and disposal of sharp and biohazardous materials.
- →Provide surgical instruments such as sponges, sutures, and solutions as requested by surgical staff.
