About the Position: This Health Technician (Specimen Processing) position is located in the Department of Pathology at Evans Army Community Hospital in Fort Carson, CO. A recruitment or relocation incentive MAY be authorized. Salary negotiation MAY be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Perform phlebotomy procedures such as venipuncture and puncture; determine type of specimen to be collected; and draw and/or collect blood samples for test procedures.
- →Process specimens in accordance with the test procedure requirements.
- →Greets and screen patients at the Laboratory Reception Desk, obtaining information to determine need, eligibility of care and priority for testing.
- →Prepare samples for shipment by centrifuging sample and separating serum.
