About the Position: This position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, El Paso, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
What You'll Do
- →Perform administrative duties prior to the optometrists’ evaluation of patients.
- →Review chart and prepare documents in advance of scheduled appointment to verify appointment necessity, determine required diagnostic testing, coordinate efficient patient flow, and optimize clinic and provider efficiency.
- →Perform ocular screening, including ocular triage for acute walk-in appointments, to assist provider with the eye examination.
- →Fit and order military eyewear, and ensure spectacle quality control by tracking turnaround time and inspecting accuracy in accordance with American National Standards Institute (ANSI)/ Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
- →Order expendable and durable supplies used in the clinic.
