About the Position: The position serves as a Health Technician (Ophthalmology) in ophthalmic/refractive surgery, providing specialized refractive surgical and perioperative care at a Medical Treatment Facility. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Performs specialized testing on patients referred from Ophthalmology Department who may have significant multiple pathologies.
- →Utilizes a detailed understanding of anatomy, physiology, ocular disease conditions, and pathology, combined with the technical expertise, to produce high quality diagnostic.
- →Documents study results on appropriate refractive surgery forms, including a written summary evaluation where indicated.
- →Documents all data completely and on the appropriate forms Independently performs a wide variety of complex non-invasive ophthalmic studies on patients/research subjects to provide data for pre and post operative testing.
- →Research studies utilizing complex, specialized, state of the art ophthalmic imagery equipment.
- →Performs technically critical examinations and reviews consult requests and takes a brief history to identify patient problems.
