About the Position: This is a Health Technician (Occupational Health) Camp Pendleton Dir of clinical support occupational Medicine A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Review all pertinent data and determine requirements for ancillary testing and occupational health medical surveillance program placement.
- →Evaluate patients for referral to nurse or physician.
- →Perform various screenings such as vision, vital signs, spirometry, audiometry, and electrocardiograms (EKGs) and review results for completeness and accuracy.
- →Refer abnormal vital signs, vision screenings, EKS, audiometry, and spirometry results to an occupational health nurse (OHN) or provider for evaluation per clinic standard operating procedures (SOP).
- →Verify and order all indicated laboratory studies, X rats, immunizations and other ancillary tests as appropriate.
- →Document pertinent data in the medical record on other documents, as appropriate for the examination being performed on both hard and electronic copies.
- →Comply with Infection control guidelines and practices including universal precautions.
- →Triage patients as they arrive, identifying those whose examinations/evaluations will need to be expedited.
