About the Position: This position is located in the Director for Mental Health, Department of Mental Health Acute and Outpatient Services Adult O/P Mental Health in Bethesda, MD. Hours of operation: Monday- Friday 0730 - 1600 This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
What You'll Do
- →Perform ambulatory and inpatient procedures and direct patient care under credentialed-provider supervision.
- →Recognize medical emergencies and monitors patients for distress/acuity changes; escalates to providers as needed.
- →Manage patient intake in MHS Genesis; verifies eligibility, updates records, and transcribes physician orders per SOP.
- →Assemble and maintain health records; prepares charts, files results, and safeguards patient confidentiality (HIPAA).
- →Handle reception and scheduling; answers phones, books appointments, and manages no-shows/reschedules per policy.
- →Maintain a clean, safe environment and equipment; practices universal precautions and reports safety/security concerns.
