About the Position: This position falls under the Defense Health Agency, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth located at the TRICARE Prime Clinic Suffolk, Virginia under the Family Medicine team performing a variety of medical and clerical support duties which facilitates the work of providers and professional nurses. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Perform initial screening of patients including but not limited to scrubbing of schedule, patient check in, record/report retrieval, recording vital signs and initial complaint.
- →Prepare patients for, and assist providers with, patient exams/procedures as required.
- →Complete necessary paperwork as directed.
- →Schedule patients' appointments per clinic routine.
- →Prepare examination rooms between patients, cleaning as needed, replacing used equipment/supplies, and assembling equipment /supplies for next patient.
- →Ensure cleanliness and stocking of provider rooms prior to start of the clinic day and at the end of the day.
- →Collect laboratory specimens.
- →Perform electrocardiograms and basic lab tests on the premises.
