About the Position: This position is located at Bassett Army Community Hospital in Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Federal employees in Alaska are currently entitled to receive a 1.49% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary. This is subject to change. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Interview patients who request initial treatment or unscheduled examinations and obtain additional information from medical records regarding the type of medical problem and treatments received.
- →Assess the patient through their patient interview and refer to the appropriate team nurse and/or provider those requiring priority or extensive care in a timely manner.
- →Obtain and record pertinent patient information including, but not limited to, vital signs, brief history of present complaint, past medical and surgical history, medication reconciliation and indicated preventive and population health services.
- →Recognize and institute emergency measures as needed Transport patients to other clinical areas as required Administer oral medications, give subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular injections to patients, and administer immunizations and nebulizer treatments as ordered after completion of required training and demonstration of competency.
