About the Role
This position is the Executive Assistant (EA) to the Executive Director at the Beckley VA Medical Center in Beckley, WV. The EA plays a significant role in the strategic planning for major operations and management programs.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties: Formulate, advise, and participate in developing and coordinating long range operational plans/implementation of health care management policies, programs, and operations, have a direct and/or substantial impact on the programs of the facility Provide executive support to executive leadership team members for special assignments.
- →Conduct special projects or studies to analyze, evaluate, and provide recommendations on programs or issues.
- →Develops new insights into situations and applies innovative solutions to make organizational improvements; designs and implements new or cutting-edge programs/processes.
- →Provides comprehensive staff support in the development of both long-and short-range policies and plans for the organization(s) to which accountable.
- →Formulates recommendations to include specific plans to correct deficiencies or to increase positive accomplishments of administrative practices, such as: developing criteria to determine measurable work areas and establishment of quantitative or qualitative production standards.
- →Coordinates the work efforts of multiple individuals in various services or departments.
- →Develops performance standards and evaluate work performance of subordinates.
- →Identifies and analyzes problems, using sound reasoning to arrive at conclusions.
- →Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Telework: This position may be authorized for telework.
