What You'll Do
- →As a Health Communications Specialist, you will: Analyze the current context or situation (including content and metrics analysis); identifying gaps in knowledge about audiences; collecting feedback from consumers; monitoring channel use (such as website and public inquiry systems) as well as the use of communication materials and media coverage.
- →Collect information and integrating results with the planning and development of health communication and marketing strategies and messages; testing concepts and messages and making revisions; and planning, managing, and conducting summative evaluation of initiatives and programs.
- →Provide advice, technical assistance and leadership in planning and developing communication and marketing priorities, initiatives, strategies, and practices for effective communication and marketing directed toward professional and lay audiences.
- →Plan, apply, and evaluate various communication science and marketing techniques to achieve optimal program results and promote positive health outcomes.
- →Coordinate with others on health media production (e.g., graphics, broadcast production); risk communication activities; marketing activities; publications; electronic health communication and marketing activities (e.g., web, podcasts); and partnerships and strategic alliances.
