This position is located at a Forest Service unit in Business Operations, Grants and Agreements. The incumbent serves as a Grants and Agreements Specialist responsible for all aspects of awarding and administrating grants and agreements. What You'll Do
- →Approve all grants and agreements for the unit, as well as notification(s) of funding availability within the limits of delegated authority.
- →Review reimbursement requests, process payments and close out agreements within established procedures.
- →Participate in establishment of internal administrative and financial controls or systems.
- →Negotiate grants and agreements within the limits of delegated authority.
- →Advise on grant or agreement modifications and extensions of performance period(s) for completion of work submitted by the partner.
- →Assist in evaluating proposed legislation to determine extent of probable impact to processes and objectives.
- →Examine appropriate legislative and program authority prior to execution of each grant or agreement.
- →Develop instruments, request proposals, analyze responses and make or recommend acceptance by higher authority.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National.
- ✓Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- ✓Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
