This vacancy is for a General Maintenance and Operations Supervisor (Utilities) in the Office of Facilities and Environmental Quality within the Department of Commerce.
What You'll Do
- →As a General Maintenance and Operations Supervisor (Utilities), you will perform the following duties: Plans, directs, and supervises directly or through multiple levels of subordinate supervisors multidisciplinary shop staff, ensuring that operation, maintenance, and repairs of all systems are performed correctly and efficiently.
- →Controls and manages all electrical, plumbing, utility systems repairs/operations; and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) maintenance, repair, and upgrade activities.
- →Assigns work, explaining requirements and setting deadlines.
- →Strategic planning, conflict resolution, performance evaluation, and development of team members.
- →Communicates and collaborates across all levels of the organization.
- →Promotes innovation and continuous improvement by encouraging team input and adapting processes to enhance efficiency.
- →Provides guidance and supervisory authority over major work functions, assisting subordinate supervisors and employees in applying technical specifications.
- →Identifies and addresses training and development needs to enhance team capabilities, utilizing individual development plans and arranging for necessary training sessions.

Requirements
