This position is located at a Region 6 Forest Service Office. These positions provide technical resource information support with the integrated database systems, including the Forest Service Activity Tracking System (FACTS) and other localized databases. What You'll Do
- →Use digital data to input, retrieve, create and maintain geospatial and tabular data to support a natural resources program.
- →Identify changes in data and communicate the difference to ensure correct and complete information exists in the Forest Service Activity Tracking System (FACTS) or related integrated database system.
- →Maintain data in databases to ensure consistency and integrity of geospatial data and products.
- →Apply knowledge of forestry practices and specific resource attributes and techniques to adapt and manipulate software and databases for providing users the information needed to accomplish work on the ground.
- →Provide maps and information from database systems to customers and program managers for natural resource/vegetation management project planning.
- →Create and update maps for contracts and contract modifications to accomplish forestry/natural resource work.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National.
- ✓Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
