What You'll Do
- →As Administrator of the Food Service Department, typical duties and responsibilities include, planning, controlling and evaluating department operations such as managing budget resources for the Food Service Department, establishing standards of sanitation, safety and security, developing menus and evaluating inmate acceptance of food quantity and quality.
- →Incumbent must also develop specifications for procurement of food, equipment and supplies, plan layout designs and equipment requirements, and conduct studies to improve the operation, efficiency, and quality of the food service operation.
- →Directs and manages the work of subordinate supervisors in making inmate assignments.
- →Approves work schedules for civilian subordinates and inmate workers.
- →The incumbent also evaluates the performance of subordinate employees, recommends incentive awards and disciplinary actions, and is involved in staffing and employee development.
- →Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.
- →The staff's correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
