This Food Service Worker position is located within the Nutrition & Food Service at the Lexington VA Health Care System in Lexington, Kentucky.
What You'll Do
- →This position independently performs duties that require proficiency in special procedures and broad knowledge of service operations, such as food and beverage preparation, modified diets, computer proficiency, dishwashing, dry and refrigerated storage, and safety and sanitation.
- →Work Schedule: Rotating shifts (530a-200p, 6a-230p, 1115a-745p), alternating days, alternating weekends, and holidays as scheduled Position Description Title/PD#: Food Service Worker/PD99836S Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not authorized
Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓Suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
