This Food Service Worker position is located within the Nutrition & Food Service Line at the Edward P. Boland VA Medical Center in Leeds Massachusetts.
What You'll Do
- →Wage Grade 2 Food Service Workers perform tasks with several steps or a sequence of tasks that requires attention to work operations.
- →They follow set procedures in accomplishing repetitive assignments and follow an established sequence of work such as working in the dish room, passing trays, portioning cold foods and dipping hot foods.
- →Work Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours a week, Full-time, Multiple Shifts based on facility needs.
- →Position Description Title/PD#: Food Service Worker/PD99921S Notifications: This position is in the Competitive Service.
- →This position is not in a Bargaining Union.
- →This position is covered by locality-based comparability pay.
- →Since the Direct-Hire Recruitment Authority is being used, traditional Veterans' Preference rules do not apply.
- →Qualified Veterans will, however, be given full consideration for this position.
Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓Suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
