About the Position: This position is with the Nutrition Care Division, Production and Service Branch located at Tripler Army Medical Center, on the Island of Oahu, HI. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace. Tobacco products include, but are not limited to, smoking, smokeless tobacco, and electronic nicotine delivery devices.
What You'll Do
- →Perform the complete cycle of centralized patient room service functions.
- →Assemble and portion assigned tray items (prepared main course, hot side items, condiments, salads, desserts, etc.) in accordance with (IAW) patient diet orders.
- →Transport food carts to wards and deliver trays directly to patients IAW established script and standard operating procedures.
- →Take food temperatures to ensure hot and cold foods are maintained at proper temperatures IAW with these standards.
- →Rotate foods on "first in, first out" cycle to prevent spoilage.
- →Clean equipment and work area which includes, mopping, sweeping, cleaning dishes and disposing of food waste, cleaning patient transport carts.
