This position is located in the DEA, Operations Division, Office of Training - Academy Operations Section, Financial Management Unit (OTAF). This position(s) primary purpose is to process various types of accounting transactions in DEA/DOJ accounting system (Unified Financial Management System (UFMS); performs analysis of financial information using queries and reports; and providing customer support.
What You'll Do
- →As a your typical work assignments may include: Examines outstanding payables and resolves undelivered orders.
- →Assigns the proper accounting codes of funding as it relates to the approved budget and OT spend plans.
- →Conducts detailed examination of transactions for travel and acquisitions and researches various policies for required information and classifies accounting data for assigned accounts.
- →Reconciles undelivered orders for outstanding travel balances, pending procurements, and contractual services.
- →Provides customer service to vendors to reconcile transactions involving multiple funds or a number of different control accounts.
- →Performs actions within the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS) and communicates to the customer when complete.
- →Serves as point of contact for field funding transfers for ammunition, training, and personal protective equipment.
- →Collects, reviews and validates financial data to support managing resources for assigned program area.
