- →This position is located in the Office of Field Policy and Management (FPM).
- →FPM supports 64 offices across the field and provides organizational leadership to Regional and Field Office Directors.
- →The Office develops mechanisms which ensure critical field program delivery issues are addressed; assess program impacts and customer service at the local level; and provide operational feedback designed to constructively influence program design and Departmental policy-making.
- →As a Field Office Director, you will: Be responsible for strategic leadership, long-range planning, high-level decision-making, and comprehensive resource management to further HUD's mission and assure the local office is aligned with Departmental strategic plans and protocols.
- →Establish and maintain highly effective internal and interagency partnerships with senior-level counterparts within HUD, including multiple program office directors, as well as with high-ranking officials across Federal, state, and local agencies.
- →Oversee the development and implementation of the Management Action Plan and related goals, and a variety of programs, projects and initiatives.
- →Exercise delegated authority across the full range of human capital, financial, technological, and administrative management functions for a large, multifaceted field office.
Requirements
- ✓The official duty station for this position will be in Richmond, Virginia.
- ✓Failure to report to duty at this location may be grounds for a disciplinary action, including removal.
- ✓Key Requirements: Must be U.S.
- ✓Citizen or U.S.
- ✓A probationary or trial period may be required.
- ✓Continued employment is contingent upon supervisory certification that continued employment will benefit the Federal Service; the certification will occur no less than 30 days before the end of the probationary/trial period.
- ✓A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.
- ✓Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- ✓Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.
- ✓Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
- ✓Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
- ✓If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
- ✓Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form i-9.
- ✓Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S.
