About the Role

This position is part of the National Capital Planning Commission (NCPC). As an Executive Management Specialist, you will serve as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director (ED) of NCPC and you will be responsible for a variety of routine administrative and managerial duties in support of the Commission and the NCPC staff.

What You'll Do

  • As a Executive Management Specialist GS-0301-11, your typical work assignments may include the following under supervision: Managing the ED's calendar and scheduling appointments for meetings, conferences, social functions, and speaking engagements.
  • Serving as the main attendant for front desk coverage and preparing Chambers and the executive conference room in advance of monthly Commission meetings and other special meetings.
  • Serving as property custodian, responsible for tracking the agency's assets, ensuring excess property is identified annually and properly disposed, and reports are readily available.
  • Serving as the agency's travel arranger and timekeeper.
  • Assisting the Agency Record's Officer in ensuring agency compliance with NARA regulations and guidance.
  • Managing common administrative tasks such as parking and transit programs, procurement requests, maintaining work logs and emergency contact lists, and assisting with safety & logistical activities.

  • Such study may have been performed on a full-time or part-time basis.
  • If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
