The Executive Director, Medical Center (EDMC) has full delegated line authority and responsibility for executive level management of a VA health care facility. Has overall responsibility for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, controlling, reviewing, evaluating, and improving medical, administrative, and supporting operations of a medical facility which administers a variety of medical care and treatment for a large geographic area.
What You'll Do
- →The EDMC's managerial duties and responsibilities involve final decisions which have a direct and substantial effect on the health care organization and programs.
- →These include, but are not limited to, decisions affecting the nature, scope and quality of, and emphases in the facility's/system's patient care programs and activities.
- →Federal Executive Board; Promotes the development of VA/DOD sharing agreements as appropriate.
Requirements

- ✓Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications.
