The incumbent serves as a Senior EEO Counselor responsible for administering the informal EEO complaint process in accordance with 29 CFR 1614 and MD-110. As a subject matter expert, provides technical guidance, reviews casework for quality and compliance, and ensures accurate documentation and timely processing. Communicates with employees, managers, and representatives to resolve issues and supports ORM program operations through data tracking, reporting, and training assistance.
What You'll Do
- →Apply EEO regulations, policies, caselaw/court decisions, and executive orders to counseling activities.
- →Review counselor work products for accuracy and compliance with EEOC regulations and MD-110 and 29 CFR Part 1614 (reg governing Federal Sector EEO Complaint processing).
- →Provide technical guidance on counselor reports, correspondence, and other case related documentation.
- →Monitor complaint tracking systems for timely and accurate data entry and case documentation.
- →Monitor the ORM Genesys Complaint Hotline to ensure quality customer service and professionalism.
- →Mentor lower graded counselors on EEO counseling processes and requirements.
- →Evaluate requests for extensions to ensure compliance with established processing timelines.
- →Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday flexible between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily.
- →Compressed/Flexible: Available.
- →Telework: Available, per agency policy.

- →Financial Disclosure Report: Not required.
- →Location Negotiable: Selected applicants will be required to report in person to their nearest VA facility or an ORM District office that has suitable space available.

- ✓You must be a U.S.

- ✓As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you may be required to serve a one year probationary period or two year trial period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
