This position is located at the VSA San Diego Healthcare System Engineering Service Projects/Activations Section. The Engineering Technician provides a wide variety of technical support in the management of construction activities and serves as a Contracting Officer (COR) on planning, design, and construction projects at the medical center.
What You'll Do
- →Incumbent performs Inspections of the medical center and construction work being done by contractors Serves as the Construction Safety representative for projects.
- →Serves as purchase card holder; submits purchase card order and other engineering related budget items such as 2237s, etc.
- →Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
- →Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
