This position is situated within the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research & Engineering (OUSW(R&E)), under the Office of the Executive Director, directly supporting the OUSW(R&E) Security Office.
What You'll Do
- →Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Orchestrates tours of deployment locations and manages the Joint Emergency Evacuation Plan (JEEP) to ensure senior leadership is prepared for any contingency.
- →Providing desk-side and site-specific training for all ERG personnel within three months of their assignment and offering ongoing guidance to subordinate components to maintain synchronized continuity programs.
- →Represents OUSW(R&E) during the planning and execution of National Level Exercises, collaborating closely with planners from the Office of the Secretary of War, the Joint Staff, and various Combatant Commands.
- →Develops and maintains a comprehensive and executable OUSW(R&E) Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) program and to ensure it is compliant with all DoW COOP program requirements.
- →Reviews, validates, and updates the OUSW(R&E) Mission Essential Functions and assigned Emergency Relocation Group (ERG) personnel to ensure accuracy and OUSW(R&E) mission assurance.
- →Identifies and prioritizes Information Communications Technology (ICT) services and the equipment necessary for the uninterrupted performance of essential functions.
- →Conducts periodic reviews and provides guidance and direction for subordinate component COOP programs.
