This position is located in the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Office of Operations, Security, and Preparedness (OSP), Office of Emergency Management & Resilience (OEMR). The mission of OSP is to raise the preparedness of the VA to provide services and protect people and assets continuously and in time of crisis. Incumbent will carry out the full scope of VA continuity planning, and provide operational support to senior leadership, internal and external to the VA.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include but not limited to: Serves in a multi-faceted role as a member of PETE, supporting the VA Integrated Operations Center and serving as a liaison to the Federal inter-agency.
- →Performs complex strategic, operational and tactical emergency planning projects or participate as a team memberon highly complex projects.
- →Conduct Department reviews of Presidential Policy Directives, Executive Orders, National Plans, Strategies, and Concept of Operations Plans, After Action Reviews, Continuity Plans, Disaster Plans, Department policy and procedures in order to determine the impact on VA, OSP, OERM, and Planning, Exercise, Training and Evaluation Service (PETE).
- →Analyze data utilizing statistical methods; interpret results; and provide written summaries of data analysis.
- →Ensure the integrity of research project data to include data extraction, processing, storage, manipulation and analysis.
- →Conducts studies and analyses of programs and proposals to ensure implementation of policy.
- →Develop guidance to be used for implementing criteria and evaluating programs.
- →Perform other duties as assigned.
