The primary purpose of this position is to To serve as the appointed Installation Emergency Manager (IEM); planning, directing, controlling, and administering the installation's Emergency Management (EM) and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, or Nuclear (CBRN) Defense Programs and perform mission essential duties that are inherently governmental.
What You'll Do
- →DUTIES DUTY 1: Serves as the IEM, plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the IOEM ensuring that IOEM responsibilities comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
- →DUTY 2: Serves as Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Director or Manager.
- →As the EOC Director, directly responsible to the installation commander for mitigation of incidents impacting primary mission operations.
- →DUTY 3: Executes the IOEM financial management responsibilities.
- →Works closely with the CES Resource Advisor, Functional Area Managers, and the EMWG to develop and execute a coordinated budget with available funding.
- →DUTY 4: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities over a limited staff.
- →Plans and schedules work to be accomplished by subordinates, adjusting short-term priorities as needed.
