What You'll Do

  • If selected for this position, you will serve as a Docketing Technician (Office Automation) for the United States Attorney's Office, District of Montana.
  • Typical work assignments will include: Develops and maintains automated records from initial referral to final disposition and case file closure.
  • Receives inquiries on case status.
  • Retrieves information using routine queries from hard copy reports.
  • Exercises confidentiality, tact, discretion and judgement in determining what information may be properly released.
  • Integrates output from different software types (e.g., tables produced by applications and charts and graphs produced by electronic spreadsheet applications) into work processing or desktop publishing text.
  • Develops local docketing training and activities and materials.
  • Advises other docketing personnel on unique or complex cases or situations.
  • Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Requirements

  • All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.
  • Department of Education.
