What You'll Do

  • Serves as the senior executive responsible for planning, directing, and integrating strategic engagement activities that enable force generation, force development, and force design across U.S.
  • Army Transformation and Training Command (T2COM).
  • Provides executive leadership in synchronizing government, industry, academic, joint, and international engagements to advance enterprise-level modernization objectives and ensure unity of effort across the Army and the Department of War (DoW).
  • Exercises broad authority to develop, implement, and assess strategies that accelerate the identification, evaluation, and transition of innovative technologies to the warfighter.
  • This includes ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including small business policies, acquisition directives, and congressional reporting expectations.
  • Leads efforts to inform and educate members of Congress, senior Army leaders, and external stakeholders on command priorities, capability gaps, and modernization initiatives.
  • The position requires continuous coordination with Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA); DoW components; interagency partners; state and local governments; and private-sector organizations.
  • Handles sensitive, confidential, and politically significant information and represents T2COM in high-visibility engagements with senior officials across government and industry.
  • Provides executive oversight of systems integration functions, workforce management, and resource allocation to ensure effective execution of the Directorate's mission.
  • Leads a multidisciplinary staff and directs complex initiatives requiring cross-functional collaboration, strategic planning, and enterprise-wide synchronization.
  • Utilizes expert judgment, broad organizational awareness, and the ability to influence decision-making at the highest levels of the Army and DoW.

Requirements

  • CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Must be a U.S.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S.
  • Citizenship.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • You will serve a one-year probationary period unless you have previously completed the probationary period in the SES.
  • Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
  • You must be able to submit and pass designated and/or Random Drug Testing as required.
  • File a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report OGE-278e within 30 days of appointment and annually from then on.
  • Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
  • You must be able to obtain/maintain the appropriate clearance and access level for this position.
  • Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Direct deposit of pay is required.
  • The incumbent is required to travel on both scheduled and unscheduled aircraft, and other modes as required, under conditions specified under the DoD Joint Travel Regulations.
  • The incumbent is expected to travel on short notice to attend high level meetings to obtain resolution of problems and gather information to assist in the decision-making process.
