As a principal financial advisor to center leadership, you will direct financial management, strategic resource allocation, and comptroller functions across expansive enterprise structures. You will drive process improvement, maintain audit readiness, and provide expert financial support for complex challenges. This pivotal executive role requires a strategic leader dedicated to fiscal excellence and mission success.
What You'll Do
- →The duties across these two centers require a high-level executive capable of managing multi-billion dollar portfolios and massive personnel structures.
- →The core responsibilities are consolidated below: Provides strategic vision, managerial direction, and comprehensive executive leadership for the Center's Financial Management Directorate.
- →Establishes organizational structures to optimize resource utilization and leads a large, geographically dispersed workforce of military and civilian personnel.
- →Provides functional management of the entire FM workforce across the Centers' geographically diverse portfolio driving execution of human capital initiatives and FM programs, resulting in a skilled, empowered, and mission-aligned team.
- →Directs the full spectrum of financial management, including the formulation, execution, and reporting of multi-appropriation budgets (e.g., Operations & Maintenance, RDT&E, Foreign Military Sales, and Working Capital).
- →Ensures audit readiness, robust financial controls, and effective reprogramming of funds to meet dynamic mission requirements.
- →Serves as the principal financial advisor and key management consultant to Center leadership.
- →Develops, implements, and interprets financial management policies and procedural directives from the Department of War (DoW), U.S.
- →Air Force, and Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS).
- →Integrates financial activities to provide expert support across complex operational footprints.
- →Leads enterprise-wide cost estimating, cost analysis, and cost accounting functions.
- →Directs resource analysis, base operating support, and ensures the proper and legal disbursing of all authorized funds.
- →Acts as the principal review authority for cost estimates related to major DoW milestone decisions and program/budget reviews.
- →Represents the command in high-level forums with the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW), federal agencies, and industry leaders to defend, and influence vital program and policy decisions.
Requirements
- ✓A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is highly desired.
- ✓A master's or advanced degree in business administration, economics, finance, or other related field is highly desired.
