The VISN 1 Diagnostic Imaging Program Manager (DIPM) provides operational and management support to the VISN 1 Imaging Program Director in all areas related to diagnostic imaging. Location Negotiable: The incumbent must be located within a commuting distance of one of the 8 facilities in VISN 1 to include: Augusta, ME; White River Junction, VT; Bedford, MA; Boston, MA (CAMPUSES include::West Roxbury, Brockton and Jamaica Plains); Leeds, MA; Manchester, NH; Providence, RI; or West Haven, CT.
What You'll Do
- →The VISN 1 Diagnostic Imaging Program Manager (DIPM) provides operational and management support to the VISN 1 Imaging Program Director in all areas related to diagnostic imaging.
- →He/she is organizationally structured under the Imaging Service Line Director and reports directly to him/her.
- →The VISN Diagnostic Imaging Program includes eight medical centers, each with varying complexities of imaging procedures and selected CBOCs with imaging capabilities.
- →The incumbent ensures acceptable levels of system performance, maintains a system of quality control, and provides support in the operation and management of the digital image acquisition, processing, storage and display process.
- →Duties include, but are not limited to: Serves as the VISN operational leader in planning, developing and coordinating the operational components of the diagnostic imaging services.
- →Identifies pertinent issues, collects relevant information from a variety of sources, and reviews information related to the Imaging system in question.
- →Serves as a liaison for the Imaging Service Line with Information Technology Service and Clinical Engineering to ensure interfacing/connectivity issues are addressed, and that appropriate maintenance and replacement of imaging modalities occur in a timely fashion.
- →Develops recommendations and proposals for consideration by the Service Line and VISN leaders that ensures maximum efficiency and effective delivery of imaging services to the veteran population we serve.
- →Coordination of operations with local site administrators to assure fully functionality is maintained Analyzes problems, determines the correct course of action required to correct problems, and prepares detailed project plans for implementation when changes and/or upgrades are necessary to the PACS and integrated dictation systems.
- →Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.
- →Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
- →Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement) Telework: Not available.
