The Deputy Director for Resource and Integration is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring national defense strategies are fully resourced. They provide the financial, acquisition, and analytical backing necessary for the J8 Director and USSPACECOM Commander to execute core missions, including space operations, missile defense, electronic warfare, and intelligence (ISR). Position will relocate to Huntsville, AL at a future date.
What You'll Do
- →Advocates for space mission capabilities and identifies critical gaps across the COCOM.
- →Supervises requirement definitions, prioritizes DOTMLPF solutions, and conducts cost/benefit analyses.
- →Develops PPBE products, tracks Cyberspace programs, and coordinates formal reclamas to OSD/SECDEF decisions.
- →Serves as the principal acquisition advisor, determining strategies and directing procurement policies.
- →Oversees the entire contract lifecycle: solicitation, negotiation, source selection, award, and performance monitoring.
- →Recommends initiation, modification, or curtailment of complex cyber acquisition projects.
- →Directs and controls R&D and T&E operational resources supporting the space mission.
- →Manages technical integration at labs, studies/analyses, and the proposal process for directed research.
- →Directs force structure net assessments, threat scenario variations, and evaluations of military plans.
- →Participates in war games, simulations, and seminars to refine operational strategies.
- →Reviews external agency studies on USSPACECOM capabilities and adapts findings to mission requirements.
- →Collaborates with joint staff, agencies, and components to ensure analytical data reflects real-world operational conditions.
- →Supervises, trains, and coordinates senior personnel (including Senior Executives, GS-15s, and O-6s).
- →Mentors subordinates on complex problem-solving, analysis techniques, and report formulation.
Requirements
- ✓A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is highly desired.
