This position is located in the Executive Office of the President (EOP), Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Performance and Personnel Management Division (PPM). The Deputy Associate Director serves as the principal career advisor to senior agency leadership to improve outcomes of Federal programs, organizations, and policies that ultimately lead to the improved functioning of government and delivery of government services.
What You'll Do
- →The Deputy Associate Director is a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES), a group of top government leaders.
- →This position directs the work of other senior executives and expert staff members, and as is the foremost career expert and principal advisor to the Deputy Director for Management and other senior agency leadership on performance and management functions and mission delivery improvements across the Federal government.
- →Providing executive-level guidance to the Deputy Director for Management and senior agency leadership on the formulation and implementation of the President's Management Agenda (PMA), which defines government-wide management priorities for all Federal agencies to improve governmental operations, performance, and results.
- →Engaging with senior officials of the agency, the Executive Office of the President, and other Executive Branch agencies in major efforts and on management boards and commissions, such as the Performance Improvement Council and Chief Human Capital Officers Council, often recommending solutions to problems or negotiating resolution.
- →Representing OMB's position on interagency matters, often requiring strong initiative and creativity to deliver high-quality staff work to policy officials and other senior leaders.
