What You'll Do
- →Serving as a Deputy Assistant Director (Mission and Readiness Support Directorate) GS-0301-15 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission.
- →This position is located in the Mission and Readiness Support Directorate (MRSD) in Glynco, Georgia.
- →Typical duties include: Advising and assisting FLETC MRSD Assistant Director and other senior leaders and agency officials in carrying out FLETC's law enforcement training mission by effectively and efficiently managing these program areas.
- →Directing the development and presentation of FLETC responses to inquiries from Congress, OMB, DHS, Government Accountability Office, Office of Personnel Management and other government entities regarding the full range of mission and readiness support services related matters.
- →Represents FLETC at meetings, gatherings, and forums where extensive briefings to senior officials on current and evolving mission and readiness support-related matters will be given.
- →Supervising directorate program staff through subordinate division chiefs.
- →Determining the resources to devote to various program(s).
- →Making and effecting recommendations regarding significant internal and external programs that affect the DHS and FLETC.
- →Establishing long-range goals, objectives, and plans for the directorate and making adjustments based upon changes in legislation, program authority, and/or funding.
