About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at Hickman Air Force Base/ Honolulu. A cost of living allowance has been authorized for Hawaii at the rate of 8.64% (subject to change) Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. A recruitment incentive may be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Complete preliminary dental examinations on new dental service patients.
- →Examine the teeth and surrounding tissues for evidences of plaque and periodontal disease and charts findings.
- →Perform postoperative care and provides oral hygiene instruction.
- →Explain to patients the causes of periodontal disease and tooth decay.
- →Inspect the mouth and throat for evidence of disease such as oral cancer.
- →Perform various advanced and specialized oral prophylactic and preventive dental hygiene procedures.
Requirements
- ✓Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
- ✓For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
