What You'll Do
- →Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Policy and Standardization Program Support Specialist and Branch Chief for the National Guard Bureau Joint Staff Cyberspace Operations Division (J36).
- →Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interpreting and implementing policies, executing authorities, identifying program shortfalls/gaps, and developing guidance, standards, and processes for the division's mission that impacts the National Guard Cyber Forces.
- →Serves as the recognized authority and primary advisor to the Cyberspace Operations Directorate on all Cyberspace Operations Division functions.
- →Plans, develops, and directs advisory and services for the National Guard Bureau-wide program.
- →Coordinates directly and on behalf of the J36 with the Air and Army National Headquarters, Joint Staff, Services, Combatant Commands, and Interagency partners on National Guard titles, authorities, and capabilities regarding cyberspace operations.
- →Duties: Applies expert analytical and evaluative skills to identify gaps and develops changes in authorities and policies that affect a wide range of cyberspace domestic and strategic issues that will continue to confront the National Guard's (National Guard) ability to respond and deter cyber threats using a whole of government approach.
- →Maximizes communication and collaboration with other cyber components, including but not limited to the Services, CCMDs, Interagency partners, SLTT, Allies and Partners, legislative bodies, and other offices.
- →Provides expert guidance and serves as a focal point to prepare NGB leadership up to the Office of the Chief National Guard Bureau (OCNGB) to participate in senior and national level briefings of conclusion at DoD and NGB and other key leader engagements.
- →Supervises civilian and military personnel.
- →Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, establishing schedules, and setting priorities for the Cyberspace Operations Division.
