This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Projects include a variety of kinds in support of the District's Military; Civil Works; Work for Others; and Hazardous, Toxic and Radiological Waste (HTRW) programs. This is a developmental position, GS-09, GS-10, GS-11. Management may hire at any grade level.
What You'll Do
- →At the full performance, GS-11: Serves as a senior Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) at the site of construction, monitoring construction activities for assigned projects.
- →Coordinates with a variety of interested parties, from customers to contractors to local government officials, state and local environmental agencies, etc.
- →Interprets contract requirements throughout all phases of construction work.
- →Maintain surveillance of the contractor inspection system for compliance with approved quality control plan.
- →Make on-the-spot decisions/commitments not affecting basic design/cost to avoid delays in construction projects.
