What You'll Do
- →Proofreads and edits draft materials prepared by program offices to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- →Keeps abreast of legislative hearings and matters requiring special attention, advising management of extent and type of participation in congressional activities.
- →Responds to written and verbal congressional inquiries in a prompt, professional manner by researching answers to questions and by consulting archives, subject matter experts, regulations, and other verifiable sources of information.
- →Tracks and analyzes congressional hearings, markups, and oversight activities; identifies issues requiring management attention.
- →Conducts detailed analysis of proposed legislation, amendments, and committee actions to assess potential impacts on agency operations, finances, and programs.
- →Utilizes a practical knowledge of GPO operations and processes in dealing with congressional staff to identify and clarify legislative issues and evaluate policy options.

- ✓Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used or this grade level.
