This position is located in the Risk Management Agency (RMA),Deputy Administrator for Compliance, Northern Regional Compliance Office serving the states of Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Duty location will be determined upon selection and MUST be within one of the states listed above in the Northern Regional Compliance Area.
What You'll Do
- →Conducts onsite investigations to assess crop insurance program compliance.
- →Performs investigations to substantiate alleged or suspected instances or patterns of noncompliance.
- →Participates in negotiations with persons whose activities have been found to be at odds with agency guidelines Conducts analysis of reports required of individuals and re-insured companies engaged in crop insurance activities to assess their compliance with mandatory guidelines.
- →Explains and promotes the regulatory/compliance program to those whose activities are subject to it, as well as to the general public.
- →Serve as an investigator with responsibility to conduct on-site reviews and evaluations of Re-insured Companies and general Risk Management program operations to ensure compliance with FCIC approved policies, procedures and guidelines.
- →Assist senior investigators in reviewing problems, controversies or alleged or suspected irregularities in claim inspections and payments.
Requirements
- ✓You must be a US Citizen or US National.
- ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- ✓If selected, you may be sent instructions on obtaining fingerprints.

- ✓As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period or 2-year trial period depending on your appointment type, unless previous federal service is creditable.
